Stainless Steel Cutlery Cleaning Guide: Restore Shine and Remove Stains
So if you've ever wondered how to remove cutlery stains? Heres how, mix distilled vinegar and boiling hot water solution. Clean with a microfiber cloth. If you would like to bring the cutlery up to a polish afterwards, sprinkle cream of tartar onto the cutlery and wipe clean with a warm, damp microfiber cloth.
What You’ll Need
- Distilled vinegar
- Boiling water
- Microfiber cloths
- Cream of tartar (for polishing)
Vinegar to Hot Water Ratio
- 1 part distilled vinegar
- 8 parts water
Allow the cutlery to soak in the vinegar and boiling water solution for 15-20 minutes before cleaning with the microfiber cloth. If polishing, sprinkle the cream of tartar directly onto the damp cutlery and rub gently with the microfiber cloth.
Note: Work in a well ventilated room and avoid inhaling any fumes from the vinegar solution
